Instructions

  • Pop popcorn kernels in a large bowl using your preferred method.
  • Preheat the oven to 250°F.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  • Bring to a boil while constantly stirring.
  • Boil for 4 minutes without stirring.
  • Take the pan off the heat and stir in the baking soda until the mixture is light and foamy.
  • Pour mixture over popcorn and toss to coat evenly.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the popcorn out.
  • 1 hour in the oven, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and set aside to cool completely.
  • Break up any large clumps before serving or storing in an airtight container.
